Progress
Today is the 27th. Tomorrow is the Last Day before the Move, and while I know I am almost ready, I am exhausted. My life is upside-down, my cat is freaked out, and the dining room has been invaded by boxes.
Ideally, i will be able to hire a friend with a truck to help me haul the Unwanted Furniture out to the dump, or wherever it will be going. Most of it is cheap pasteboard stuff, not worth keeping or hauling 500 miles. It is currently looking to be a multiple-trip process. I will probably buy said friend lunch.
Due to a recent GERD diagnosis, I cannot have caffeine. So add caffeine withdrawal symptoms to all of the above.
Today I dismantled the cat furniture. It had been peed on by a previous housemate’s feral kitten, and never cleaned. I hauled all but one or two boxes up from the basement. I purged about 40 books, which will be hauled off to the used bookstore by one of my soon-to-be-former housemates.
Yesterday, I started that box-moving process. I took apart some exercise equipment, and with help bundled it up for easier transport. I set aside the clothes for today, tomorrow, and Moving Day, and vacuum sealed the rest ofi t.
On the To-Do side of things, I need to wrap and bundle up the paintings that are going up north. I need to finish dismantling my bedroom; there are still things out that need to be packed up. My desktop computer can go into the heap of boxes. Once several unwanted items have made their merry ways to the dump, I can bring some of the to-keep bedroom furniture downstairs.
i should probably be able to get some of that done tonight.
